Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer
Active Imaging is available as a 3-in-1 transducer with CHIRP, SideScan, and DownScan Imaging in Lowrance Elite FS 9.
The transducer is constructed with a polymer that efficiently transmit and receive sound waves in water without losing any signals. Thanks to the separate sonar element for SideScan transmit and receive, it has a high ping-speed.
These features enable Active Imaging transducer to quickly identifying fish-holding structures like rock piles, standing timber, weed beds, ditches, and drop-offs. With the high-level clarity, target separation, and detail of Active Imaging, you’ll be able to find more fish and also identify different species like Bass, Catfish, Crappie, etc under your boat.
Active Imaging transducer operates at 83/200 KHz frequency for CHIRP sonar. You can freeze, zoom in and zoom out the sonar in the Elite FS 9 screen. The maximum depth of the CHIRP sonar is around 1000ft at 83 KHz. Whereas you will get high resolution detail of fish and bottom at the 200 KHz frequency.
Active Imaging DownScan in Elite FS 9 operates at 800 kHz or 455 kHz frequency. 455 kHz frequency provides the maximum depth penetration at 300 ft. While the 800 kHz frequency provides the highest resolution images with better target separation in shallow water.
455/800 KHz frequencies are supported in Active Imaging SideScan. 800 kHz provides the clarity and sharpest images in shallow water. It can scan an area of 150 ft on either side of the boat. While 455 kHz is more suitable for deeper waters. It can scan an area of 300 ft on either side of the boat.
Active Target Compatible
Active Target is a live sonar system that gives you a real-time view of both your lure and the fish. This allows you to see how the fish are reacting to your lure, which will greatly increase your catch rate. The three viewing options (forward, down, and scout) make each cast more successful.
FishReveal
The Lowrance Elite FS 9 gives you the power to see fish and structure beneath your boat like never before. This product combines the proven performance of Lowrance CHIRP sonar with high-resolution images from DownScan Imaging, making it easier to identify fish targets with FishReveal.
FishReveal makes fish appear more clearly as an arch by brightening and displaying them with greater clarity. It helps distinguish Bass from Baitfish and even identify when they are close to a structure or submerged grass.
C-MAP Contour+ Charts with Genesis Live
Elite FS 9 comes with preloaded C-MAP Contour+ inland and coastal charts. C-MAP Contour+ features high resolution bathymetric 1-foot contours on 15,000+ U.S. Lakes and 9,400+ lakes in Canada. Below image illustrates some of the features of C-MAP Countour+ charts.
Elite FS 9 is also compatible with Navionics charts but you need to buy the charts separately. Navionics charts also provide in depth details of US inland lakes with fishing POIs, vector charting, and custom shading of reefs and depth.
Elite FS 9 also features Genesis Live a real time mapping tool. You can overlay Genesis Live on current charts to create your own contour maps or create custom 1/2-foot contour maps of your local uncharted lake in real-time.
High Resolution Touch Screen
Lowrance Elite FS 9 offers a high resolution touch screen with an anti-reflective coating that offers excellent clarity and daylight visibility, even under bright sunshine. You can also create customized panels on the screen for quick access to the most used functions.
Networking
Lowrances Elite FS 9 Fish Finder provides NMEA2000 and Ethernet networking. You can network Elits FS unit with HDS Live or another Elite FS unit with Ethernet. This helps to share Sonar data with other units connected on the same network. You can also easily transfer charts, waypoints, and other useful information between units and create a dynamic fishing system.
NMEA 2000 provides the capability of controlling trolling motor, outboard pilot, and Power-Pole directly through the Elite FS 9 touchscreen. You can also network boat engines line Yamaha with the unit through NMEA 2000.
Wifi Connectivity
The wireless connectivity feature in Elite FS 9 allows you to mirror your display to compatible iOS and Android devices and access charts, radar, sonar, engine data, and more from the smartphone. You can remotely control your fish finder easily through your smartphone.
You can also upgrade your Elie FS 9 to latest software through Wifi with fast internet connection. With the easy online software and map upgrades through any internet hotspot, you’ll always have access to the latest features and support for accessories.
Autotuning Sonar
Elite FS 9 Autotuning sonar automatically adjusting settings as fishing conditions change. Sonar can be set to “Auto” or custom settings of your choice. This can save a considerable amount of time and hassle when starting a new fishing location.
Built-in GPS
You can add, delete and edit the waypoints on Lowrance Elite FS 9 maps. It can store up to 5000 waypoints and 200 routes, each containing 99 turns or stops.
