SplitShot High CHIRP Sonar with DownScan Imaging
The Lowrance SplitShot transducer is good for anglers looking for wide-angle high CHIRP sonar (200kHz) and images of the fish-holding structures powered by DownScan imaging (455/800kHz).
SplitShot transducer pairs with Hook Reveal 5x, providing underwater sonar images to depths of 500ft and photo-like images below the boat (DownScan) to 300ft. It offers double sonar coverage than most fishfinders. Traditional sonars have a beam width of 44° @ 200kHz, whereas Splitshot provides a beam width of 55/3° @ 455 kHz and 35/1.6° @ 800 kHz. It also provides accurate water temperature and depth readings.
The Lowrance Hook Reveal 5x gives you the power to see fish and structure beneath your boat like never before. This product combines the proven performance of Lowrance CHIRP sonar with high-resolution images from DownScan Imaging, making it easier to identify fish targets with FishReveal.
FishReveal makes fish appear more clearly as an arch by brightening and displaying them with greater clarity. It helps distinguish Bass from Baitfish and even identify when they are close to a structure or submerged grass.
Hook Reveal 5x offers the feature to create custom contour maps with Genesis Live. Genesis live is a real-time feature that creates an overlay of depth contour mapping based on live sonar soundings. The Genesis live sonar soundings are recorded into the Micro SD card which can be inserted in Hook Reveal 5x.
Hook Reveal 5x Autotuning sonar automatically adjusts settings as fishing conditions change. Sonar can be set to “Auto” or custom settings of your choice. This can save a considerable amount of time and hassle when starting a new fishing location.
You can add, delete and edit the waypoints on Lowrance Hook Reveal 5x maps. It can store up to 3000 waypoints and 100 routes, each containing 99 turns or stops.
Hook Reveal 5x’s SolarMAX display offers excellent clarity and daylight visibility, even under bright sunshine.

Do not buy the x version. It is a bad idea because you can't do anything else with it. You need to buy the one that has maps already loaded. Or if you want to make your own map, then it will take days and lots of gas.
If you're looking for a top-quality fish finder that is sure to impress, the Lowrance Hook Reveal is definitely worth considering. This fish finder comes preloaded with detailed maps of almost 4,000 US lakes, so you can get onto the fish faster. You can also create custom contour maps with Genesis Live, giving you even more precision over your local lakes. The Tripleshot High CHIRP Sonar with SideScan and DownScan Imaging provides underwater sonar images that are ideal for US lakes.
It's a little expensive, but it has a lot of nice features.
