SplitShot High CHIRP Sonar with DownScan Imaging
The Lowrance SplitShot transducer is a good choice for anglers looking for wide-angle high CHIRP sonar (200kHz) and images of the fish-holding structures powered by DownScan imaging (455/800kHz).
SplitShot 2-in-1 transducer pairs with Hook2 SplitShot providing underwater sonar images to depths of 500ft as well as photo-like images below the boat (DownScan) to 300ft. It provides double sonar coverage than most fishfinders. Traditional sonars have beam width of 44° @ 200kHz whereas Splitshot provides a beam width of 55/3° @ 455 kHz and 35/1.6° @ 800 kHz.
SplitShot allows you to track baits and mark fish with DownScan imaging. It identifies structures under your boat and distinguishes it from the fish.
