740 was okay in the beginning. However, after four months of use, it no longer works, and when I turn on my device, an error message appears, and it shuts down or restarts. It's not even charging for me anymore.

Rand McNally’s quality is diving for sure. I loved my 730! It lasted for years without any issues, and it was time to upgrade again, but 740 only had less than six months of use, and it already has an issue. Some electrical problem causes the screen to flicker then power off, which can be very annoying

Overall, I do like it and get the job done. It has only directed me on approved truck paths, unlike Google Maps, which lets you take any road in sight. In every other way though - like layout or features -- I'd prefer it operate more like google map's interface, but we can't have everything now, can we?

I love the touch screen. I just wish there were easier ways of entering an address, like having you first type in street name, house number, etc., which is time consuming if you are on the go. But, It also saves your favorite addresses, so they are easily accessible when needed.

This GPS has been amazing so far! I love that it can update maps from my mobile hotspot, and the magnetic mount was perfect for when we went over some rough roads. My only concern is how long these batteries will last, but other than that, this device rocks!!

The quality keeps going down exponentially with every new product release from Rand McNally - what's next??

It's one of the best GPS out there, and it has never failed to deliver. The only downside for me is that magnetic mount. It usually remains in its place, but it can come off when passing over very rough roads and giant potholes.
